Getting There

  • Public Transit (Bus)

    If you are starting from downtown Minneapolis, walk to the nearest bus stop that services the Metro Transit routes. Take the Metro bus route 19 heading towards the northwest. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes, and get off at the 'Theodore Wirth Pkwy & Glenwood Ave' stop. From there, walk south along Theodore Wirth Parkway for about 5 minutes to reach the main entrance of Theodore Wirth Regional Park.

  • Bicycle

    Starting from downtown Minneapolis, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs. Head west on the Midtown Greenway trail, which is a dedicated bike path. Continue on the Greenway until you reach the junction with the Wirth Parkway. Turn left onto Wirth Parkway and follow it north for about 15 minutes until you reach Theodore Wirth Regional Park. The park entrance will be on your right.

    Take the Metro Blue Line light rail from downtown Minneapolis towards the Mall of America. Get off at the 'Target Field' station. From there, transfer to the Metro Green Line and head towards 'West Bank'. Get off at the 'Cedar-Riverside' station and transfer to bus route 19 heading towards Theodore Wirth Parkway. Get off at 'Theodore Wirth Pkwy & Glenwood Ave' and walk south for about 5 minutes to reach the park.
