Light Rail
If you're starting from downtown Minneapolis, head to the Nicollet Mall light rail station. Take the Blue Line towards Mall of America. Ride for 4 stops and get off at the 'Warehouse District/Hennepin Avenue' station. Once you exit the station, head east on Hennepin Avenue until you reach 2nd Street. Turn left on 2nd Street and walk for about 5 minutes. The Guthrie Theater will be on your right at 818 S 2nd St.
Bus
Locate a nearby bus stop and check the Metro Transit website or app for bus routes that head towards the Guthrie Theater. For example, you can take Bus 9 from Nicollet Mall. Ride for about 10-15 minutes and get off at the '2nd St S & 9th Ave S' stop. From there, walk east on 2nd Street for a couple of minutes, and you will find the Guthrie Theater at 818 S 2nd St.
Walking
If you're near the Mississippi Riverfront, you can enjoy a scenic walk. Head north and follow the riverfront pathway towards the Stone Arch Bridge. Cross the bridge, and then take a left onto S 2nd St after you reach the other side. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at the Guthrie Theater located at 818 S 2nd St.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can use the Nice Ride bike-sharing program. Find a bike station near you and ride towards the Guthrie Theater. A recommended route is to follow Washington Ave SE to S 2nd St. Once you reach S 2nd St, head west for about 5 minutes, and the theater will be on your left at 818 S 2nd St.
