If you are driving, start from the Tettegouche State Park Visitor Center. Head east on MN-61 N for approximately 5 miles. Look for signs directing you to the Black Beach area. You will turn left onto a small access road that leads to the Black Beach parking area. Make sure to park in the designated area. The beach is a short walk from the parking lot.

If you are using public transportation, you can take the North Shore Scenic Drive bus service, which runs between Duluth and Grand Marais. Make sure to check the bus schedule for stops at Tettegouche State Park. Once you arrive at the park, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to the Black Beach area.
