Getting There

Car
From the main entrance of Tettegouche State Park, head north on MN-61 N. Continue on MN-61 N for approximately 7 miles. Look for signs directing you to Palisade Head. Turn right onto Farver Ln (you will see the Palisade Head sign). The trailhead and parking area will be on your left. There are no fees for parking at the trailhead.

Public Transportation + Walking
If you're using public transportation, catch the bus that services the Silver Bay area. The nearest bus stop is a few miles from the park entrance. Once you arrive in Silver Bay, you will need to walk approximately 2 miles to reach Palisade Head. Head east on 1st St toward MN-61 N, then turn left onto MN-61 N. After about 1.5 miles, turn right onto Farver Ln. The trailhead and parking will be on your left. Please note that the bus schedule may vary, so check local transit times.
