Ferry
The only way to reach Fort Massachusetts is via the Ship Island Excursions ferry from Gulfport, MS. The ferry departs from Jones Park, located at the intersection of Highway 49 and U.S. Highway 90 in Gulfport. Typical round-trip ferry costs are around $44 for adults, $38 for children (ages 3-12), $42 for seniors (65+), and $42 for military personnel with ID. Infants (2 and under) are free. Online booking is available, and walk-up tickets are also sold. Be aware that online tickets may include a small booking fee. The ferry ride is approximately one hour each way. Upon arrival at Ship Island, Fort Massachusetts is a short walk from the ferry landing. Follow the signs and boardwalk towards the fort.
