Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in downtown Cape Girardeau, start at the Cape Girardeau Public Library located at 711 N Clark St. Head north on N Clark St for about 0.4 miles until you reach Broadway St. Turn right onto Broadway St and continue for about 0.6 miles. You will pass by various shops and restaurants. After crossing the intersection with N Main St, continue straight as Broadway St becomes N Mount Auburn Rd. After about 1 mile, you will see the entrance to Cape Woods Conservation Area on your right at 1348 N Mount Auburn Rd.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Cape Girardeau Transit Center located at 401 Independence St, take Bus Route 3 towards Cape Girardeau North. This route will take you along the main streets of Cape Girardeau. Stay on the bus for a total of 20 minutes, and get off at the stop near the intersection of N Mount Auburn Rd and Broadway St. From there, walk north on N Mount Auburn Rd for about 0.3 miles until you reach Cape Woods Conservation Area at 1348 N Mount Auburn Rd.

    If you have a bicycle, start from the Cape Riverfront Park located at 100 N Main St. Head west along the riverfront bike trail until you reach the intersection with N Main St. Turn left onto N Main St and then take a quick right onto Broadway St. Continue riding straight for about 1.5 miles, then turn left onto N Mount Auburn Rd. You will need to ride for another 0.5 miles and you will see the entrance to Cape Woods Conservation Area on your right at 1348 N Mount Auburn Rd.
