A prominent feature is the restored memorial sign dedicated to the liberation of Bender from Nazi invaders. This memorial takes the form of an open book, with an engraved order from Stalin dated August 23, 1944, expressing gratitude to the troops involved in the liberation of Bender and Belgorod-Dniester.Originally installed in 1967, the memorial was severely damaged during the Moldova-Transdniestria conflict in 1992 but has since been fully restored. The square provides a glimpse into the city's layered past, influenced by Moldavian, Ottoman, and Soviet periods.
