The museum is one of only two houses where Pushkin lived that are still preserved today.The museum itself is housed in a modest building that once belonged to the merchant Naumov. Inside, visitors can explore exhibits detailing Pushkin's life in Chișinău, including paintings, prints, sculptures, and decorative art from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Among the displays are editions of his works written during his time in Bessarabia, offering insights into his creative process and the influences that shaped his writing. During his time in Bessarabia, Pushkin wrote over 160 works, including "The Prisoner," "The Black Shawl," and the first part of "Eugene Onegin".The museum provides a window into the world of a young, exiled poet and his connection to Moldovan culture.
