Zoo Club: A Touch of the Wild in Bardar

Zoo Club, located in Bardar, a commune 15 kilometers southwest of Chișinău, is a delightful destination that combines the charm of a traditional zoo with the ambiance of a farm. What started as an ostrich farm in the 1990s by Igor Balzhikov, a specialist in animal husbandry, has grown into a home for dozens of species of exotic animals and birds from around the world. Visitors can explore a diverse range of wildlife, including African ostriches, alpacas, kangaroos, deer, raccoons, and miniature goats. The zoo is designed to allow guests to observe the animals up close, ensuring their comfort and safety. Each exhibit is arranged to provide opportunities to learn about the various species and their habitats.Zoo Club offers interactive activities for children, such as a petting zoo where kids can engage with gentle farm animals. Visitors can purchase food at the entrance to feed the animals. The zoo also features green spaces, making it ideal for picnics and leisurely strolls. Weekends offer pony rides in a specially designed arena. The administrators limit visit times to 45 minutes to manage visitor flow.
