Getting There

Walking
Start from the central square of Monaco-Ville, Place de la Mairie. Head east on Rue de la Colle. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue de l'Observatoire. Turn right onto Rue de l'Observatoire and follow it until you reach the top of the hill where you'll see the entrance to the Prince's Palace of Monaco. From there, you can enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean and the surrounding area. Continue on the path that leads down towards the port, and you will find signs directing you to Bordighera. Walk along the coastal road, taking in the beautiful scenery until you reach the border with Italy. Once you cross into Italy, you can follow the signs to Bordighera, which is about a 30-minute walk from the border.

From Monaco-Ville, walk to the nearest train station, Monaco-Monte-Carlo. The station is located about a 15-minute walk from Place de la Mairie. Head down Avenue de la Madone and take the steps down towards the station. Once there, purchase a ticket to Bordighera from the ticket machines or counter. Board the train heading towards Ventimiglia, and it will take approximately 20 minutes to reach Bordighera. Upon arrival at Bordighera train station, exit and follow the signs toward the town center. You can walk through the charming streets until you reach Via Dritta where the historic site Bordighera Città Alta is located.
