Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Buir Lake, head southwest on the road towards Ulaanbaatar. Continue on this road for approximately 60 kilometers. As you approach Ulaanbaatar, you will see signs for the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex. Turn onto the Nalaikh road and follow the signs for about 10 kilometers. The statue complex will be on your right. There is a parking area available for visitors, and entry fees may apply.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex using public transportation from Buir Lake, take a bus or minivan heading towards Ulaanbaatar. The journey will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Ulaanbaatar bus station, transfer to a minivan or taxi heading to Nalaikh. This will take an additional 30 minutes. Inform the driver to drop you off at the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex, which is a well-known landmark. Be sure to check for the minivan schedule and any fees, which typically range from 2,000 to 5,000 MNT for the bus and around 10,000 MNT for a taxi.

  For adventurous travelers, biking from Buir Lake to the Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex is an option. The distance is approximately 70 kilometers. Start by following the main road towards Ulaanbaatar. Ensure you have a map or GPS, as road signs may be limited. Be prepared for a long ride, and plan for rest stops along the way. This option requires a good level of fitness and should be undertaken with caution due to traffic and road conditions.
