Starting from Buir Lake, head west on the local roads. Follow the signs towards Ulaanbaatar and then take the road leading towards Uvs Province. The journey will take approximately 3 to 4 hours, depending on road conditions. Keep an eye out for road markers indicating Uureg Lake. Once you reach the town of Ulaangom, continue north until you see additional signs for Uureg Lake. The lake is located approximately 30 km northeast of Ulaangom.

Public Transportation

From Buir Lake, take a local bus or a shared taxi to Ulaangom. The bus typically departs in the morning and costs around 10,000 MNT. The journey will take about 3-4 hours. Once in Ulaangom, you can hire a local taxi to take you to Uureg Lake. This taxi ride will cost approximately 15,000 MNT and take about 30 minutes. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
