After approximately 220 kilometers, take the exit towards Selenge Province. Continue on the local roads towards Ider, which is located about 70 kilometers northwest of Darkhan. The drive will take you through scenic landscapes typical of the Selenge River Basin. Be sure to have a reliable GPS or map as signs may not always be present. Once you reach Ider, you can park your car in designated areas near the water.

For those opting for public transport, take a bus from Ulaanbaatar to Darkhan. Buses depart frequently from the central bus station in Ulaanbaatar and the trip takes about 4-5 hours, costing approximately 10,000 MNT. Once in Darkhan, you can catch a local minibus (marshrutka) heading to Ider. The marshrutka will take around 1-1.5 hours, and the fare is about 5,000 MNT. Ensure to confirm with the driver that they are going to Ider as not all minibuses follow the same route.
