From any point in Terelj National Park, head towards the main road (A-1) that connects Ulaanbaatar to the national park. If you are near the entrance of Terelj National Park, follow the signs pointing towards the main road. Once you reach the A-1 road, turn right and continue driving for approximately 15 kilometers until you see a sign for Gunjiin sum. The location is marked by coordinates 48.1837° N, 107.5556° E. Ensure to have a GPS or a map app to assist you, as there might not be many signs along the way.

To reach Gunjiin sum using public transportation, first, make your way to the nearest bus station in Terelj National Park. Buses from Ulaanbaatar heading to the National Park will drop you off at various points. Take a bus to the nearest stop to Gunjiin sum, which is usually at the main park entrance. From there, you might need to hire a taxi or a local driver to take you the remaining distance of about 10-12 kilometers to Gunjiin sum. Expect to pay around 5,000-10,000 MNT for this taxi ride.
