Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are staying in Big Sky Resort, exit the resort area and head south on the main road (Lone Mountain Trail). Continue walking for about 1.5 miles until you reach the junction with Highway 191. Cross the highway at the crosswalk and turn right (west) onto Highway 191. Walk for about 2 miles, keeping an eye out for the sign for Beehive Basin Road on your left.

    From Big Sky Town Center, take the bike path heading south. Follow the path until you reach the intersection with Highway 191. Turn left and bike for about 2 miles. Look for the Beehive Basin Road on your left, which will take you toward the trailhead.

  • Public Transportation

    Check for any local shuttle services that operate between Big Sky and Gallatin Gateway. If available, take the shuttle heading towards Gallatin Gateway. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Beehive Basin Road. From there, it’s a short walk to the trailhead.
