Public Transportation
If you're starting from the Big Sky Town Center, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch the Skyline Bus heading towards Gallatin Gateway. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance. Once you arrive at the Gallatin Gateway stop, exit the bus, and you will need to walk approximately 1 mile south on U.S. Highway 191. Be cautious as this is a busy road. Look for a well-marked trailhead sign for Beehive Basin on your right after about 1 mile.
Biking
From Big Sky Resort, take the bike trail that leads to the U.S. Highway 191. Once you reach the highway, head south towards Gallatin Gateway. Biking along the highway is recommended during daylight hours for safety. After approximately 3 miles, keep an eye out for Beehive Basin Road on your right, where you can park your bike and access the trailhead.
Walking
If you're up for a scenic walk from the Big Sky Town Center, head south along U.S. Highway 191. It's about a 3-mile walk, which may take about an hour.
