Getting There

From the Old Town of Budva, head towards the main entrance of the citadel, which is located near the sea. Once you exit the Old Town, follow the coastal promenade (known as the 'Lungo Mare') towards the northwest. Continue along the promenade for about 10 minutes, enjoying the beautiful views of the Adriatic Sea. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards the St. John Fortress. As you approach the fortress area, you'll see a path leading up to the fort on your right. Follow this path, which will take you uphill.
