If you're driving, head towards the town of Žabljak, which is the main gateway to Durmitor National Park. From Žabljak, take the road towards the village of Medjurecje. Follow the signs leading to Mrtvica Canyon. The road will lead you through beautiful landscapes, and approximately 15 minutes into your drive, watch for a small parking area on the right side of the road near a campsite. This is where you can park your car (note: parking may incur a small fee, typically a couple of euros). After parking, follow the marked trail that leads directly to Mrtvica Canyon.

If you're relying on public transportation, start by taking a bus from the main bus station in Žabljak to Medjurecje. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary. Upon arrival in Medjurecje, you will need to walk to the canyon trailhead, which is about a 1-kilometer walk along the main road. Look for signs that indicate the direction of Mrtvica Canyon. The trail is well-marked, and you will enjoy scenic views along the way. No additional costs are involved in this walking segment.
