Walking
Start from the main square in Herceg Novi, known as 'Trg Nikole Đurkovića'. From the square, head north towards the 'Boka' Hotel. You will see a well-marked path leading up to the fortress. Follow the path that winds its way up the hill, which will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards 'Kanli kula' as you ascend. The path is paved and has handrails, but it can be steep in some sections. Enjoy the beautiful views of the bay as you go. Once you reach the top, you will arrive directly at Kanli kula, which is situated at 'bb Prve Bokeške brigade'.

Public Transportation
From Herceg Novi bus station, take a local bus heading to Igalo. Get off at the 'Igalo' bus stop. From there, it is a 10-minute walk back towards the old town. Head uphill on the main road towards the 'Boka' Hotel, then follow the same path leading to Kanli kula. Look for signs as you walk, and it will take you about 15-20 minutes from the bus stop to reach the fortress.

If you prefer not to walk, you can take a taxi from any part of Herceg Novi. Simply tell the driver 'Kanli kula' or 'Fortress Kanli kula'. The ride will take about 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxis are readily available and can be hailed from the street or booked via phone.
