Walking
Start at the Herceg Novi city center, specifically at the main square (Trg Nikole Đurkovića). From the square, head south towards the waterfront promenade, known as 'Šetalište'. Continue along the promenade until you reach the large clock tower (Sahat Kula). From there, take the steep path leading uphill called 'Manastirska Putanja'. Follow this path for about 15-20 minutes, enjoying the scenic views along the way. As you approach the monastery, you will see the beautiful architecture of Savina Monastery. The monastery is situated on a hill, offering panoramic views of the bay.
Public Transport
From the Herceg Novi city center, you can catch a local bus towards 'Savina'. The bus stop is located near the main square. Board the bus and ride for about 10-15 minutes. Get off at the 'Savina' stop, which is the closest to Savina Monastery. From the bus stop, it is a short walk uphill to the monastery, following the signs. The walk should take you around 5-10 minutes.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can cycle from Herceg Novi city center. Start at the main square and head towards the waterfront promenade. Continue along the promenade until you reach the 'Manastirska Putanja' path. This path can be steep in places, so be prepared for some uphill cycling. The total distance is approximately 3 kilometers and should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace. Once you reach the monastery, you can park your bicycle in the designated area.
