From the Old Town of Kotor, head towards the main square (Trg od Oružja). Walk out of the Old Town through the Sea Gate (Morska Vrata) and continue straight along the waterfront promenade. Keep walking until you reach the end of the promenade. Look for signs pointing towards the Fort of St. Ivan (San Giovanni). This will lead you to a steep path going upwards.

Continue up the path that leads to the Fort of St. Ivan. This path is well-marked and will take you through the scenic hill. The hike is approximately 30-45 minutes depending on your pace. As you ascend, you will have several opportunities to stop and take in the views of Kotor Bay.
