Public Bus
From the center of Nikšić, head to the main bus station located near the city square. Look for buses heading to Medjurecje or specifically those that mention Mrtvica Canyon as a stop. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Medjurecje, follow the signs for Mrtvica Canyon, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. The path to the canyon is well-marked and leads you through scenic areas.

Walking
If you're already in Nikšić and prefer to walk, start from the central square (Trg Slobode). Head towards the north on Njegoševa street until you reach the intersection with Veljka Vlahovića street. Turn left and continue walking until you reach the outskirts of town. Follow the signs directing you to Medjurecje. The walk will take around 1.5 to 2 hours, and you'll enjoy beautiful views along the way.

Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Nikšić. Once you have your bike, head towards the main road leading out of Nikšić towards Medjurecje. Follow the route as it winds towards the canyon. This option allows you to enjoy the fresh air and scenery at your own pace. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your cycling speed.
