Getting There

    If you're traveling by car, ensure you have a reliable GPS or map app. From Marrakech, take the N9 road towards Ouarzazate. Continue on the N9 for approximately 140 km until you reach the town of Demnate. From Demnate, follow the signs leading to the R307 road, which will take you towards Taounza. After about 40 km on the R307, you will arrive at the entrance of Western High Atlas National Park, located at the coordinates 39JQ+PRH, Taounza.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the park using public transportation, first take a bus from Marrakech to Demnate. Buses leave frequently throughout the day, and the fare is approximately 50 MAD. Once in Demnate, you can find shared taxis (also known as 'grand taxis') heading towards Taounza. The fare for the shared taxi is around 20 MAD per person. Be sure to confirm with the driver that they are going to the park area. Upon arrival at Taounza, you can either walk to the park entrance or arrange a local taxi to take you directly to the park.
