Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major city in the Rif Mountains, such as Chefchaouen. Take the N2 road heading towards the direction of Tetouan. After approximately 60 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork to continue on the N16 road towards Al Hoceima. After about 30 kilometers, look for signs directing you to Plage Badis. Turn onto the P5205 road and continue straight. The beach will be on your left after a few kilometers. Parking is available near the beach, and it may cost around 10 MAD.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, start your journey in Chefchaouen. Board a bus that is heading towards Al Hoceima; these buses typically leave from the main bus station. The journey will take around 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Al Hoceima, you will need to take a taxi to Plage Badis. Taxis are available just outside the bus station, and the fare should be around 50-70 MAD for the 20-minute ride. Be sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
Combination of Car and Walking
For a more scenic experience, consider driving part of the way and then walking. Start from Chefchaouen and drive to Al Hoceima as previously described. Once you arrive in Al Hoceima, find a suitable parking spot and walk towards Plage Badis, which is approximately a 30-minute walk along the coastal path. This allows you to enjoy the beautiful views of the Rif Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
