Getting There

• Train

  From Tangier, head to the Tangier Ville train station, which is located in the city center. You can take a taxi or a local bus to reach the station if you are not within walking distance. Purchase a ticket to Asilah at the ticket counter or through a vending machine. The train ride to Asilah takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Asilah station, exit the station and head straight ahead towards the main road. You will see signs directing you to the Medina.

• Bus

  To get to Asilah by bus, make your way to the Tangier bus station, which is also centrally located. Look for the bus company called CTM or other local buses that head to Asilah. Tickets can be purchased at the counter. The bus ride typically takes around 45 minutes to an hour. When you arrive at the Asilah bus station, exit and follow the signs towards the Medina, which is within a short walking distance.

• Taxi

  If you prefer more convenience, you can take a taxi from Tangier directly to Asilah. Simply find a taxi stand or ask your hotel to arrange a taxi for you. The journey will take about 40 minutes, and the driver will take you directly to the Medina in Asilah. Make sure to agree on the fare beforehand or ensure that the taxi meter is running.

• Walking

  If you are already in Asilah, the Medina is easily accessible on foot. From anywhere in the town, look for signs or ask locals for directions to the Medina, which is the historical area filled with narrow streets and vibrant architecture. The Medina is located close to the coast, so you can also walk towards the beach and then head inland to find the Medina.
