Car
If you're driving from Chimoio, head northwest on Avenida 25 de Setembro towards Rua da Liberdade. After about 2 km, take the exit onto EN7 towards Manica/Machaze. Continue on EN7 for approximately 20 km until you reach a junction. Take the left fork onto EN6 towards Muxúnguè. Drive for another 30 km, and you will see signs for Cabeça do Velho. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at the parking area near the base of the mountain.

To reach Cabeça do Velho using public transport, start at the Chimoio bus terminal. Look for a 'chapa' (shared taxi) headed to Manica. The fare is approximately 50 MZN per person. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Manica, you will need to catch another chapa or arrange a taxi to Cabeça do Velho. Ensure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 200-300 MZN for the trip to the base of the mountain.
