    Start at the famous Mandalay Palace, located in the center of Mandalay. Head south towards 26th Street and turn left. Continue walking until you reach 27th Street. Turn right on 27th Street and walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Yadanar Gu Payar Road. At this intersection, turn left on Yadanar Gu Payar Road. Walk straight for another 2 kilometers. You will see the Taung Pyone Shrine on your left, marked by its vibrant and distinctive architecture.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Mandalay Central Railway Station, take a local bus heading towards Amarapura. The bus stop is located just outside the station. Ensure you board a bus that is marked for Amarapura, as it is a common destination. After about a 30-minute ride, ask the bus driver to let you know when you reach Yadanar Gu Payar Road. Disembark at the stop and walk a short distance down Yadanar Gu Payar Road (approximately 10 minutes) to reach Taung Pyone Shrine, which will be on your left.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Mandalay. Start your journey from the Mandalay Hill area. Cycle north on 26th Street, then turn left onto 27th Street. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Yadanar Gu Payar Road. Turn left onto Yadanar Gu Payar Road and continue cycling for approximately 2 kilometers until you see Taung Pyone Shrine on your left.
