If you're traveling by car, start from Palmwag. Take the C43 road heading north for approximately 90 km until you reach Warmquelle. Here, you will find a sign indicating the Ongongo Waterfall Campsite. From Warmquelle, continue on the same road for about 6 km until you reach the campsite. The road can be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, your best option is to take a shuttle or bus from Windhoek to Palmwag. Upon arrival in Palmwag, you may need to arrange a local taxi or shuttle service to take you to Warmquelle. Once in Warmquelle, you can ask locals for directions to the Ongongo Waterfall Campsite, which is a short 6 km drive. Keep in mind that it’s advisable to arrange for transportation in advance as public transport options can be limited.
