Car Rental
From Windhoek, head north on the B1 highway towards Okahandja. After approximately 70 km, take the turn-off onto the C26 road towards Otjiwarongo. Continue on the C26 for about 110 km until you reach Otjiwarongo. From Otjiwarongo, follow the C38 road for about 130 km to reach the entrance of Etosha National Park. Ensure you have enough fuel, as petrol stations can be sparse in the area, and plan your journey to arrive before the park closes at 18:00.
Public Transportation (Bus)
Take a bus from Windhoek to Tsumeb, which usually takes around 5-6 hours. Once in Tsumeb, you can catch a shuttle or taxi to the Anderson Gate entrance of Etosha National Park, located about 40 km from Tsumeb. It’s recommended to arrange this shuttle in advance, as they may not run frequently. The bus fare from Windhoek to Tsumeb can range from NAD 200 to NAD 400, and the shuttle may cost around NAD 100 to NAD 150.
