Car
If you are driving from Windhoek, take the B1 highway south towards the town of Rehoboth. After approximately 90 kilometers, turn onto the B2 highway towards the town of Walvis Bay. Continue on the B2 for about 150 kilometers until you reach the C14 junction. Turn left onto the C14 road and follow it for approximately 120 kilometers until you reach the town of Sesriem. From Sesriem, take the C19 road towards Sossusvlei. Continue on this road for about 60 kilometers until you reach the entrance to the Sossusvlei area. Follow the signs for Kulala Desert Lodge, which is located at GPS coordinates -24.6148915, 15.703432999999999.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Windhoek to Sesriem. There are several bus companies that operate this route, and the journey takes approximately 5-6 hours. Once you arrive in Sesriem, you will need to arrange for a taxi or shuttle service to Kulala Desert Lodge, which is about 60 kilometers away. It is advisable to book this transfer in advance with the lodge or a local transport provider. The taxi fare can vary, so expect to pay around N$600-800 for the trip.
