Car
If you are driving a car, start from the main park entrance of Namib-Naukluft National Park. Follow the B1 road south until you reach the D854 road. Turn onto the D854 and continue driving for approximately 40 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating Kodak Point. Once you reach the area, park your vehicle in the designated parking lot. From there, follow the marked footpath that leads you to Kodak Point.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a bus or shuttle from Windhoek to the nearest town, which is Sesriem. From Sesriem, you can hire a local taxi or shuttle service that specializes in park tours. Ask the driver to take you to Kodak Point, and they will navigate the best route for you. Be sure to confirm the fare beforehand, as it may vary based on the service provider. Once you arrive, the driver will drop you off at the parking area, and you can walk to Kodak Point from there.
Guided Tour
Consider joining a guided tour that includes Kodak Point in its itinerary. Many tour operators in the region offer packages that cover transportation from major cities such as Windhoek or Swakopmund. These tours typically include stops at various attractions within Namib-Naukluft National Park, and Kodak Point will be one of the highlights. The cost will vary depending on the tour operator but expect to pay for both the tour and any entry fees to the park.
