Getting There

Walking
Start at the center of Omaruru, near the Omaruru Museum. Head east on the main road (B2) towards the outskirts of the town. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction with the C36 road. Turn left onto the C36 road. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see a sign indicating the direction to the Golden Snake Fossil. Follow the dirt path that leads to the fossil site, which is about 500 meters ahead. The site is located on the left side of the path.

From the Omaruru town center, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Start by riding east on the main road (B2) for about 2 kilometers. At the junction with the C36 road, turn left. Continue cycling on the C36 road for about 1 kilometer until you see the sign for the Golden Snake Fossil. Follow the dirt path leading to the site, which is around 500 meters away on the left.
