Car
If you are driving from Skeleton Coast, head south on the C34 road. Continue on the C34 for approximately 120 kilometers (about 1.5 to 2 hours of driving). Keep an eye out for the signs indicating the turn to the D707 road. Turn onto the D707 and drive for another 45 kilometers. Look for signs for Wolwedans Desert Lodge as you approach the area, which is located on the 144 Farm Wolwedans. The lodge will be well-marked, and the last stretch may involve some gravel roads, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for this terrain.
Public Transportation + Shuttle
If you are using public transportation, you can take a bus or shuttle from Swakopmund or Windhoek to the nearest town, which is Sesfontein. From Sesfontein, you will need to arrange for a local shuttle or taxi service to take you to Wolwedans Desert Lodge, as there are no direct public transport options. The shuttle may cost around N$600 to N$800 (Namibian Dollars) per person, depending on the provider and the distance. Make sure to book your shuttle in advance, as services can be limited.
Guided Tour
Consider joining a guided tour that includes transportation to Wolwedans Desert Lodge. Many tour operators in Namibia offer packages that cover transportation from major cities like Windhoek or Swakopmund to the lodge. This option typically includes all costs in the package price, which may vary from N$3000 to N$6000 per person, depending on the length of the tour and included amenities. This is a convenient way to reach the lodge while also enjoying the scenic views and local wildlife.
