Getting There

  • Car

    From Spitzkoppe, head southeast on the D1918 road. Continue on this road for approximately 54 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the C14 road. Turn right onto the C14 road and follow it for about 40 kilometers. Look for the signs leading to Namib-Naukluft National Park. The park entrance is located on your left. Ensure you have cash on hand for the park entrance fee, which is about N$ 80 per person.

    If you are traveling by public transport, you will need to take a taxi or shuttle from Spitzkoppe to the nearest major town, which is Usakos. From there, you can catch a long-distance bus heading toward Windhoek. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Namib-Naukluft National Park. This may require some advance coordination as not all buses stop directly at the park. Ensure you check the bus schedules in advance, and be prepared for possible delays. The costs for taxis can vary, but expect around N$ 300 to Usakos. The bus fare from Usakos to the park area should be around N$ 150.
