Nature's Oasis: The OPPD Arboretum

Car

If you're traveling by car, start in Blue River Valley and head north on NE-15 N. Continue for approximately 20 miles until you reach the junction with I-80. Merge onto I-80 W towards Omaha. After about 30 miles, take exit 446 for NE-50 N toward Bellevue. Continue on NE-50 N for about 10 miles, then take the exit onto US-75 N. Follow US-75 N for about 5 miles and take the exit toward 36th St. Follow 36th St. north until you reach the OPPD Arboretum, located at 108th St and Blondo St in Omaha. Parking is available on-site.

Public Transportation

For those using public transportation, start by taking the local bus service from Blue River Valley to Omaha. Check the local bus schedule for the nearest stop and departure times. Once in Omaha, you will need to transfer to Omaha Metro bus route 2, which heads towards 108th St. Get off at the stop closest to the OPPD Arboretum. From there, it’s a short walk to the entrance. Please be aware that bus fares apply, and you should check the current rates on the Omaha Metro website before traveling.

Bicycle

If you're feeling adventurous and would like to bike to the OPPD Arboretum, you can follow the scenic trails from Blue River Valley. Begin on local bike paths that lead north towards Omaha. You can use Google Maps to find the safest bike routes that connect to the major streets leading to the arboretum. Be sure to wear a helmet and bring water for your ride. The journey may take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your speed and chosen route.
