If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto I-80 E from your current location in Central Nebraska. Follow I-80 E for approximately 90 miles until you reach exit 454 for I-680 N toward Sioux City. Merge onto I-680 N and continue for about 5 miles. Take exit 3 for US-75 S toward Omaha. Merge onto US-75 S and continue for around 6 miles. Take the exit toward 72nd St and merge onto 72nd St. Continue on 72nd St for about 2 miles, then turn left onto Fort St. After about 1 mile, turn right onto 42nd St, and the OPPD Arboretum will be on your left at 41.2786497, -96.0783359. There is no entrance fee to the arboretum.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a Greyhound bus or Amtrak train to Omaha. Once you arrive in Omaha, you can use the Omaha Metro bus service. Board the Route 2 bus heading south from the Greyhound or Amtrak station. Ride the bus for about 30 minutes, and disembark at the 42nd St & Fort St stop. From there, the OPPD Arboretum is a short walk of about 0.5 miles. Please check the current fare for the bus service, which is typically around $2 per ride.
