Walking
If you are starting from downtown Grand Island, head west on East 2nd Street toward North Pine Street. Continue walking straight, and then turn left onto North Oak Street. Walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with West 7th Street. From there, turn right and continue walking until you reach the intersection with South Locust Street. Turn left onto South Locust Street and walk approximately 1 mile until you reach the junction with Alda Road (NE-34). Continue straight, and after about 2 miles, you will see signage for the Townsley-Murdock Immigrant Trail Site on your left. The site is located just off the road.

Bicycle
Starting from downtown Grand Island, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop. Head west on East 2nd Street, then take a left onto North Oak Street and ride straight until you reach West 7th Street. Turn right and cycle along West 7th Street until you reach South Locust Street. Turn left onto South Locust Street and continue cycling for about 1 mile. When you reach Alda Road (NE-34), turn left and continue for about 2 miles. Look for the signs for the Townsley-Murdock Immigrant Trail Site on your left side.

From downtown Grand Island, locate the nearest bus stop for the local transit service. Take the bus that heads towards Alda or the route that goes along South Locust Street. You may need to transfer at the main bus terminal to catch the appropriate route towards Alda. Ask the bus driver to notify you when you reach the stop nearest to Alda Road (NE-34). Once you exit the bus, walk towards the west for about 0.5 miles, and you will see the Townsley-Murdock Immigrant Trail Site on your left.
