    Start at the Lincoln Amtrak Station (100 N 10th St, Lincoln, NE 68508). Take the StarTran bus Route 24 towards 'Havelock' and alight at the 'Pine Lake & 40th St' stop. From there, transfer to Route 22 towards 'South 27th' and get off at '27th & Holdrege'. Walk to the nearest bus stop for Route 21 towards 'South Lincoln' and get off at 'South 27th & Highway 2'. Finally, you'll need to walk about 0.5 miles northeast to reach the Lincoln Monument located at Lafayette Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503.

  • Bicycle

    If you choose to bike, start at the Nebraska State Capitol (1445 K St, Lincoln, NE 68508). Head south on 14th St until you reach 'Q St'. Turn left on 'Q St' and continue biking east. Follow the bike lanes until you reach 'South 27th St'. From there, turn right and bike south until you get to Highway 2. Once you reach Highway 2, continue biking until you reach the intersection with Lafayette Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503. The Lincoln Monument will be on your left.

    Begin your journey at the Lincoln City Square (126 N 13th St, Lincoln, NE 68508). Walk south on 13th St until you reach 'P St'. Turn left onto 'P St' and head east until you reach 27th St. Here, turn right and walk south until you reach Highway 2. Cross the highway and continue walking southeast towards Lafayette Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503. The Lincoln Monument will be located a short distance on your right.
