To reach the Newport News Parks Campsite Office from downtown Norfolk, start at the Norfolk Transit Center located at 701 E City Hall Ave. Take the Route 45 bus heading towards Newport News. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at Jefferson Avenue and 136th Street. From the bus stop, walk north on Jefferson Avenue for about 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at the Newport News Parks Campsite Office, located at 13564 Jefferson Ave.

If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service. Start at the Norfolk City Hall and head west towards W. 21st Street. Continue on W. 21st Street until you reach the intersection with W. Little Creek Road. Turn right onto Little Creek Road and follow it until you reach the intersection with I-64. Use the bike lane to cross the highway and continue onto Jefferson Avenue. Follow Jefferson Avenue for about 7 miles, and you will find the Newport News Parks Campsite Office at 13564 Jefferson Ave.
