Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from Pokhara, which is the nearest city to the Annapurna Circuit. Drive from Pokhara towards Phedi, which is about a 30-minute drive (approximately 15 km). In Phedi, park your car in the designated parking areas as road access is limited further up. From Phedi, you will need to take a short hike to Dhampus, which usually takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. Follow the well-marked trail that leads uphill to Dhampus, where the Pothana View Point is located.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Pothana View Point using public transportation, take a local bus or a microbus from the Lakeside area of Pokhara to Phedi. The bus ride typically costs around NPR 100-200 and takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Phedi, you will need to hike to Dhampus. Follow the trail leading uphill, which should take you approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to reach Dhampus. The views along the way are stunning, so take your time to enjoy the scenery.

• Trekking

  If you're already trekking in the Annapurna Circuit and are near Dhampus, simply follow the trekking trails that lead to Pothana View Point. Depending on your current location, you might need to trek from nearby villages like Landruk or Pothana. The trails are well-marked, and you can expect to hike for 1 to 3 hours, depending on your starting point. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Annapurna range along the way. Ensure you have enough water and snacks for the trek.
