Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from areas around the Annapurna Circuit, head towards Pokhara. The most common route is via the Prithvi Highway, which connects Kathmandu to Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara, navigate to Lakeside, a popular tourist area where Tal Barahi Temple is located. You can park your vehicle at designated areas near the Lakeside. From there, the temple is a short walk across the lake, or you can hire a local boat for a small fee (approximately NPR 200-400) to take you directly to the temple.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From your location in the Annapurna Circuit, take a local bus that heads towards Pokhara. The bus fare typically ranges from NPR 500 to NPR 1000 depending on the distance and bus type. Once you arrive at the Pokhara bus station, you can either take a taxi (around NPR 300-500) or walk to Lakeside, where Tal Barahi Temple is located. If you choose to walk, it will take approximately 30 minutes. Follow the signs towards the lake, and you will find the temple situated on an island.

• Taxi or Ride-hailing Service

  If you prefer a more comfortable option, consider hiring a taxi from your location in Annapurna Circuit to Pokhara. The cost will vary based on your starting point, but expect to pay around NPR 2000 to NPR 5000. Upon reaching Pokhara, request the driver to take you to Lakeside. The temple is easily visible from the lakeshore, and you can take a short boat ride to reach it, costing around NPR 200-400.

  If you are already in Pokhara and prefer to walk, head towards the Lakeside area. Tal Barahi Temple is located on an island in the middle of Phewa Lake. You can walk along the lakeshore, enjoying the scenic views, which takes about 30-40 minutes from central Pokhara. Once you reach the lakeside, hire a local boat to take you to the temple for a nominal fee (NPR 200-400).
