Getting There

Walking
From the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, head towards the main road leading to Kathmandu. Walk straight along the main street, which is called Layaku Marg. Continue walking for about 30 minutes until you reach the junction where Layaku Marg meets the road leading into Basantapur. Kumari Ghar will be on your left-hand side, marked by the distinctive architecture typical of Nepali temples.

Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and cycle towards the main road to Kathmandu. Follow Layaku Marg for approximately 30 minutes, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. Look for the signs directing you towards Basantapur, and you’ll find Kumari Ghar on your left, just past the junction.

Local Bus
From Bhaktapur, you can take a local bus heading towards Kathmandu. Board the bus from the bus station near Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Inform the conductor that you want to go to Basantapur. The ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive, disembark at the Basantapur bus stop and walk towards Layaku Marg. Kumari Ghar is a short walk from the bus stop, located on your left.

Rickshaw
You can hire a rickshaw from anywhere in Bhaktapur. Ask the driver to take you to Kumari Ghar on Layaku Marg in Basantapur. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey.
