Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, head towards the main road leading to Kathmandu. Walk straight along the main street, which is called Layaku Marg. Continue walking for about 30 minutes until you reach the junction where Layaku Marg meets the road leading into Basantapur. Kumari Ghar will be on your left-hand side, marked by the distinctive architecture typical of Nepali temples.

  • Bicycle

    If you have rented a bicycle, start from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and cycle towards the main road to Kathmandu. Follow Layaku Marg for approximately 30 minutes, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. Look for the signs directing you towards Basantapur, and you’ll find Kumari Ghar on your left, just past the junction.

    From Bhaktapur, you can take a local bus heading towards Kathmandu. Board the bus from the bus station near Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Inform the conductor that you want to go to Basantapur.
