Car
If you are driving from Kathmandu, head southwest on the Ring Road towards Kirtipur. After approximately 5 kilometers, take the exit towards Dakchhinkali Road. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the Kathmandu View Point, which is located at M77R+44C, Dakchhinkali Road, Kirtipur. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach the Kathmandu View Point using public transportation, take a microbus or local bus heading towards Kirtipur from Ratna Park in Kathmandu. The fare is typically around NPR 30-50. Once you reach Kirtipur, get off at the main bus stop. From there, you can either walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to the viewpoint or hire a local taxi for about NPR 200-300 to take you directly to M77R+44C, Dakchhinkali Road.
Taxi
If you prefer a more comfortable option, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Kathmandu. The taxi will take you directly to Kathmandu View Point. The fare will generally range from NPR 800 to NPR 1200, depending on your starting location. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Walking
For the adventurous, if you are already in Kirtipur, you can walk to Kathmandu View Point. Start from the Kirtipur bus stop and head southwest towards Dakchhinkali Road. Follow the road signs for about 1.5 kilometers, and you will arrive at the viewpoint. This is a great way to enjoy the local scenery.
