Getting There

  • Walking

    From Everest Base Camp, start by heading south towards the main trail leading to Dingboche. Follow the well-marked path that follows the Khumbu Glacier. After about 2 hours of walking, you will reach the junction where the trail splits. Take the left path that leads towards Dingboche. Continue walking for another 1.5 hours, enjoying the scenic views of the mountains. As you approach Dingboche, look for the signs indicating the village. Upon entering Dingboche, you will see various lodges and teahouses. Your destination will be near the center of the village.

  • Helicopter

    For a quicker option, you can book a helicopter ride from Everest Base Camp to Dingboche. Contact a local helicopter service provider at Base Camp to arrange your flight. The helicopter will take off from the designated helipad in Base Camp. The flight is approximately 10-15 minutes and will land at the helipad in Dingboche, which is easily accessible from the village center.

  • Trekking

    If you prefer trekking, you can join a guided trek group from Everest Base Camp. The group will depart from Base Camp following a set schedule. Ensure you are ready at the meeting point by around 8 AM. The trek will take you along the scenic route to Dingboche, taking approximately 3 hours.
