Trekking
From Everest Base Camp, begin your trek back down the trail towards Gorak Shep. Follow the signs leading to Pheriche, which is a well-marked path. The trek will take approximately 2-3 hours. Once you reach Pheriche, continue on the trail heading towards Dingboche. After leaving Dingboche, follow the path leading to the Imja Khola Valley. The trek from Dingboche to Tengboche will take another 4-5 hours. As you approach Tengboche, keep an eye out for the signs that will guide you to the Tengboche Monastery and Chorten. The Chorten is located near the monastery at an elevation of approximately 3,867 meters. Ensure you have adequate trekking gear and acclimatize properly to avoid altitude sickness.
Public Transportation
If you are starting from Namche Bazaar, take a local jeep or shared taxi heading towards Pangboche. The ride takes about 1-2 hours and costs around 300-500 NPR per person. Once you reach Pangboche, you can start your trek to Tengboche, which is approximately 1.5 hours away on foot. The trek is a pleasant walk through the forest and along the hillside, providing stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Follow the trail signs that indicate the direction to Tengboche Monastery and Chorten.
