Hiking
To reach Lac Gokyo from Gokyo Lakes, you will begin your hike from the main Gokyo village area. Start your journey by heading north towards the Gokyo Ri trailhead, which is well-marked. Follow the path that leads you through the stunning landscapes of the Gokyo valley. The hike is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours long, covering a distance of about 5 kilometers. As you ascend, keep an eye out for the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Once you reach a fork in the trail, take the right path that leads towards Lac Gokyo. Continue along this route until you reach the lake, which will be on your left. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks for the hike, and wear appropriate hiking gear.
