Car
If you are driving from Kathmandu, take the Arniko Highway towards Bhotechaur. After approximately 20 km, take a left onto the Helambu Road. Continue for about 30 km until you reach the village of Melamchi. From Melamchi, take a local road towards Helambu. Look for signs leading to the Bishnudwar Waterfall as you approach the Budhanilkantha area. The waterfall is located off an unnamed road; you might need to ask locals for the precise location as it is less commonly marked.
Public Bus
From Kathmandu, you can catch a local bus to Melamchi from the bus station in Gongabu. The bus ride takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Melamchi, you can transfer to a local jeep or another bus heading towards Helambu. Inform the driver that you wish to stop at Budhanilkantha. The jeep ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes. After reaching Budhanilkantha, walk towards the unnamed road leading to Bishnudwar Waterfall, which is a short hike away.
Hiking
If you are already trekking in the Helambu region, you can hike to Bishnudwar Waterfall directly from your current location. Follow the trails leading towards Budhanilkantha, and look for signs pointing to the waterfall. Depending on your starting point, this may take several hours of hiking. It is advisable to bring a local map or hire a guide for the best routes.
