Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Kathmandu, take the Arniko Highway towards Bhotechaur. After approximately 20 km, take a left onto the Helambu Road. Continue for about 30 km until you reach the village of Melamchi. From Melamchi, take a local road towards Helambu. Look for signs leading to the Bishnudwar Waterfall as you approach the Budhanilkantha area. The waterfall is located off an unnamed road; you might need to ask locals for the precise location as it is less commonly marked.

    From Kathmandu, you can catch a local bus to Melamchi from the bus station in Gongabu. The bus ride takes about 2-3 hours.
