Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Kathmandu. Head east on the Arniko Highway (Route 6) towards Banepa. Continue on this road until you reach the town of Bhaktapur, then take the road towards Nagarkot. After Nagarkot, follow the signs to reach the town of Banepa. From Banepa, take the road leading towards the eastern side of the valley, passing through Dhulikhel. Continue until you reach the small village of Bhotechaur. From Bhotechaur, follow the local roads towards Bishnudwar Waterfall, which is located approximately 7 km away. Be prepared for some unpaved roads; a 4WD vehicle is recommended for the best access.
Public Transportation
To reach Bishnudwar Waterfall via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Kathmandu to Banepa. Buses leave frequently from the New Bus Park in Kathmandu. The fare is usually around NPR 150-200. Once you arrive in Banepa, take a local bus or a shared jeep towards Dhulikhel, which costs around NPR 50-100. After getting off in Dhulikhel, you will need to hire a local taxi or find a shared vehicle to take you to the village of Bhotechaur, which should cost around NPR 300-500. From Bhotechaur, you can either walk or arrange for a local guide to take you the remaining 7 km to Bishnudwar Waterfall.
Hiking
If you are adventurous and enjoy hiking, you can trek from Bhotechaur to Bishnudwar Waterfall. The hike is approximately 7 km and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The path can be steep and rocky, so make sure to wear proper hiking shoes and carry enough water and snacks. It typically takes about 2-3 hours to reach the waterfall from Bhotechaur on foot.
