If you're traveling by car, head towards the district headquarters of Dolpa by following the route from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. From Nepalgunj, take the road to the town of Juphal, which is approximately 250 km away. The road can be bumpy and requires careful driving. Once in Juphal, you can find local transport (jeeps or buses) to Suligad, which is the gateway to Shey Phoksundo National Park. The journey from Juphal to Suligad takes around 2 hours.
Public Transportation
To reach Shey Phoksundo National Park via public transportation, start from Kathmandu and take a bus to Nepalgunj. This journey takes around 12-14 hours. From Nepalgunj, take a local bus or share jeep to Juphal. This leg of the trip will take around 10 hours, depending on road conditions. In Juphal, you can catch a jeep to Suligad, the entrance to the park, which takes about 2 hours.
Trekking
