If you are traveling by private car, start from the center of Kathmandu. Drive along the Ring Road towards Kirtipur. After approximately 8 kilometers, you will see signs for Chobhar. Turn right onto the road leading to Kirtipur. Continue for another 3 kilometers until you reach Taudaha Lake, which will be on your left. There is usually a parking area available nearby.

To reach Taudaha Lake by public bus, head to the bus station in Kathmandu. Look for a bus heading to Kirtipur or Chobhar. The fare is typically around NPR 30-50. The journey takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Kirtipur, you can take a short walk (about 15 minutes) to the lake. Follow the main road, and look for signs pointing towards Taudaha Lake.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
For a more direct and comfortable option, consider taking a taxi or using a ride-sharing app. Start from any location in Kathmandu and request a ride to Taudaha Lake in Kirtipur. Motorbike Rental
If you prefer to explore on your own, you can rent a motorbike in Kathmandu. Rental prices are usually around NPR 1000-2000 per day. Head towards Kirtipur via the Ring Road, following the same directions as for a private car. Make sure to wear a helmet and have a valid driving license.
